The GoPlus Mountain eBike really is the next step up from conventional commuting electric bikes, offering great performance and simply built to do more. Offering a decent top speed of 17 mp/h and a remarkable range of 19-25 miles (30.5-40 km); riders can go even further when in pedal assist mode, whilst it’s also a great way to stay fit. GoPlus have certainly built this fat tire ebike with quality in mind, crafting the frame from a highly durable yet lightweight aluminium alloy. Furthermore, high strength carbon steel is also used for the front fork, offering drastically improved and responsive braking; perfect for maintaining control during sudden stops.
Alongside this, riders can choose between a 6-speed transmission system and find the right gear for the job. The super thick 20″ fat tires offer great grip and control, whilst also suitable for tackling a number of terrains, further morphing the GoPlus into an offroad suitable ebike. Honestly, the range and versatility offered by the GoPlus electric mountain bike makes it the perfect choice for commuting, exercising, long journeys, exploration and more.

Next on our GoPlus 2023 review, our speed, power & distance section. The GoPlus fat tire mountain eBike operates on a 36V 300W brushless gear motor, offering powerful performance in the uttermost stealth. This 300W motor propels the GoPlus to speeds of up to 17 mp/h (27.3 km).
It certainly goes the distance; offering up to 25 miles (40 km), with pedalled-mode allowing you to take your journey even further. Furthermore, this super strong mountain eBike supports a max. weight of up to 265 lbs (120 kg), which is pretty impressive. Alongside this, this electric mountain bike also features a fully removable battery, allowing riders to replace their current battery should any faults arise.
However, one thing that lets this model down is the relatively low climbing grade of 15 degrees, which is surprising considering nature of this e-bike. Whilst offering a great range and top speed in comparison to other e-bikes we’ve reviewed, the GoPlus is also a little more expensive; bear this in mind when checking over this electric mountain bike listing for yourself. Lastly, please note that variables such as rider weight, terrain, incline, weather, etc. will affect overall performance.

What age/weight is it suitable for?
The GoPlus electric mountain bike supports a max. weight of up to 265 lbs (120 kg), which should be more than enough for most. However, please note that variables such as rider weight, weather, terrain, incline, etc. will impact overall performance. Although there is no official statement on the recommended age for this model, we believe it most suitable for teens and adults over the age of 13+ or over 5″ tall. This is due to the relatively heavy weight of this model (64 lbs/30 kg) which younger or smaller riders may have trouble transporting.
What is the range/distance?
Approx. range of 19-25 miles without pedal assist. Take your journey even further and go the extra mile in pedal assist mode.

Moving on to the battery life & charging section of our GoPlus mountain eBike review. Boasting a fully replaceable 48V 8AH lithium-ion battery which is further protected against overcharge, offering up to 25 miles off a single charge. Should any faults arise or should you run out of battery, the replaceable battery system makes switching your battery a breeze. Alongside this, riders can also change to pedal-assist mode to help push for that extra mile.
On the other hand, one thing that the GoPlus could improve on is the 8 hour charge time. Whilst this is still a big step up from many other models that take 12+ hours to charge, for the price and range offered we believe 8 hours is a little much. Of course, there is a trade off between more range and longer charge time, although there are still similarly performing eBikes that offer shorter charge times. However, battery protection against overvoltage is a nice touch and very important for all models of eBike.

Whilst there is no official statement on IP ratings, we do know that the GoPlus offers overvoltage protection, stopping battery damage from overcharging. Furthermore, whilst there is no official waterproof rating, it is confirmed that the GoPlus offers moderate water resistance and is suitable for use in light rain. Lastly, there is evidence that the GoPlus features a UL rating for fire and electrical safety, however we were unable to find the exact rating awarded.
How long will the battery last for?
A standard lithium-ion battery offers a charge life cycle of 500-1000+ charges before you should expect any faults. As a high quality lithium-ion battery, riders should expect the latter of 1000+ charges; offering approx. 2-3+ years of use even if charged daily.

In terms of design, the GoPlus certainly doesn’t hide it’s intent; the 20″ fat tire wheels attest to its rugged roots and offroad mountain bike functionality. The droplet-shaped frame was carefully crafted in order to be as easy as possible for people to maneuver, transport and mount. Alongside this, the materials used are of very high quality, with a lightweight yet highly durable aluminium alloy used throughout the frame.
Furthermore, the front fork is forged from high-strength carbon steel, offering much greater durability and braking precision. Alongside this, the front fork also adapts to best suit its terrain, stretching upward on flat roads and bouncing downwards on bumpier rides.
As is expected, the brake levers, bell, headlight, gears and display are all conveniently situated on the handlebar. Alert pedestrians to your presence or make a sudden sharp stop, all from the handlebar alone. The height adjustable seat is perfect for accommodating riders of a variety of shapes and sizes, with the durable frame supporting weights of up to 265 lbs. Simply put, the GoPlus was certainly designed with a smooth ride in mind and it delivers just that.

Build quality and ease of use
As previously mentioned, the build quality of this mountain eBike is exceptional. The frame consists of a highly durable yet lightweight aluminium alloy; further featuring a shock absorbing carbon steel front fork to soak up harsh hits and allow for much greater breaking capacity. Alongside this, the bulkier frame definitely resembles a bike more than most eBikes, most of which often opt for much smaller frames.
Riders have the option to choose the right gear from the 6-speed transmission system, perfect for cruising or for when you really need to start moving. The dual disc hydraulic brakes are incredibly responsive, especially when coupled with the carbon steel front fork; delivering a vastly superior braking system to greatly increase rider control and safety. In terms of ease of use, the GoPlus operates much like a normal mountain bike, minus the motor. Simply adjust the seat to perfectly suit you, mount your remarkable ride and get started.

Moving on to the ever so important safety section of our GoPlus Mountain eBike review. Whilst this electric mountain bike certainly suits climbing hills and staying off-road, it also offers some roadside functionality too. Thanks to the bright LED headlight, riders will remain seen and safe no matter the time of day; whilst also alerting pedestrians and other traffic to their presence with the bell. However, we recommend that you always wear appropriate safety gear when riding, such as high-visibility clothing and a helmet.
As we covered in our build quality section, the braking capacity for this mountain eBike is incredible; featuring dual disc hydraulic brakes coupled with a carbon steel front fork, offering superior braking for sharp, sudden stops. Whilst the GoPlus certainly offers the capacity for roadside use, it’s still a mountain bike at heart; as such, its best suited to rugged, trickier terrains.
Is the GoPlus Mountain eBike waterproof?
Whilst there is no official statement on IP waterproof rating, we do know that the GoPlus offers protection against moderate water splashes and dust ingress. As such, it’s safe to say that this electric mountain bike offers decent water-resistance, however it definitely isn’t waterproof. Please do not attempt to test or submerge your awesome new ride!
