Welcome to our Juiced HyperScorpion review for 2023; here we’ll briefly cover some specs, stats and features included in this awesome moped-style eBike. After our overview, feel free to continue reading and learn about the speed, power & distance offered by this exciting electric bike.
For starters, the powerful 1000W Bafang motor is definitely noteworthy, propelling riders to speeds of up to 30 mp/h, which we talk more about below. Alongside this, the Juiced HyperScorpion further features puncture-resistant tires; after all, the best way to save time on replacing tires is to not get a puncture in the first place.
Furthermore, Juiced have incorporated a number of additional extras for this moped-style eBike, such as side mirrors, horn and turning signals. We found the side mirrors and turning signals especially useful design choices to perfectly mimic a moped, whilst also a great design choice that we don’t see very often. We’ll discuss mirrors, turning signals and much more regarding roadside use & safety towards the end of the article.
The HyperScorpion prides itself on offering universal sizing to fit riders from 5’2″ and above, incorporating fully height adjustable handlebars; alongside an optional tall seat to bring seat height to 33.5″. Moving our 2023 HyperScorpion review on to the stuff everyone loves to know – speed, power and distance. The previously mentioned 1000W Bafang motor offers potent performance, offering speeds of up to 30 mp/h (throttle-only).
This massive motor is powered by a 52V/19.2 Ah battery, which holds the capacity to operate for up to 70 miles off one charge! Remarkable range like that comes few and far between for electric bikes of this price range; making the HyperScorpion perfectly acceptable for long-range commuting and more. Alongside this, the fat tires allow for greater grip and control on a variety of terrains.
On the topic of power, the HyperScorpion can tank up to 275 lbs (125 kg), over double its own weight. However, one thing really letting this moped-style eBike down is the approx. 9 hour charge time. Of course, this charge time still competes with many other similarly priced models, although we’ve seen many others also offering faster charge time. However, riders can achieve finally achieve a fast charging time of 2.5 hours, with an optional fast charger.
How fast does the Juiced HyperScorpion go?
Throttle-only top speed of approx. 30 miles per hour (48.3 km/h).
What age/weight is it suitable for?
Whilst we found no official statement regarding recommended ages, we believe the Juiced HyperScorpion best suits riders 13+. We believe this primarily due to the sheer power offered by this moped-style eBike; 1000W and a 30 mp/h top speed certainly spells out “powerful electric bike for adults & enthusiasts” and not so much “friendly kids eBike”.
However, the handlebars are fully height adjustable and the frame comfortably fits riders 5’2″ and above. Riders can also source an additional tall seat, bringing the seat height up to 33.5″. This magnificent moped-style eBike further boasts a max. weight capacity of up to 275 lbs (125 kg), over double its own weight.
What is the range/distance?
Riders should expect an average range of approx. 70+ miles, depending on how much you pedal.

Briefly touching on battery life & charging; the 52V/19.2 Ah lithium-ion battery offers a range of up to 70+ miles and charges in just 2.5 hours with fast charger. However, the long 9 hour charge time with the standard charger really lets this model down. However, 2.5 hours for a fast charger is actually pretty exceptional, making the HyperScorpion one of the fastest charging electric bikes available; especially impressive with that 70 mile range and battery capacity.
Furthermore, the battery comes completely swappable, allowing riders to easily replace or remove their battery safely. From here, riders can replace their dead battery with another charged spare; essentially doubling, tripling, etc. their ride time. How long does it take to charge?
A fairly disappointing 9 hours with standard charger. However, riders can source an optional fast charger to bring total charge time down to a rapid 2.5 hours.
Battery protection & safety
Whilst no official statement was found regarding battery protection and safety, we believe some form of battery management system in place; protecting against overvoltage, overcharging and more. We believe this primarily due to many similarly priced and even worse performing counterparts have such systems in place to protect the battery.
Furthermore, JuicedBikes source their batteries from Samsung and Panasonic; both world renowned manufacturers, with the latter supplying batteries for Tesla. How long will the battery last for?
An average lithium-ion battery offers approx. 500-1000 charge cycles before any faults arise. As a premium-quality battery, riders should expect the latter of this number, at approx 700-1000 charge cycles. For some perspective, even if you were using and charging this eBike every day, it would still take 2-3+ years to reach this point. Lastly, JuicedBikes also offer 1 year warranty covering electrical & mechanical components for all official purchases; should any issues occur.

Moving our 2023 Juiced HyperScorpion review on to the fun stuff; design and ergonomics. Aesthetically speaking, this quirky electric bike adopts a magnificent moped-style design. This design features a comfortable tall seat, a bright & cheerful circular LED headlight, side mirrors and suitably shaped frame.
Briefly covering the frame, which incorporates a low, walk-through design perfect for elderly riders and those with mobility issues. This walk-through frame effectively eliminates the need to hoist your leg over a waist high frame, allowing for easy mounting/dismounting. Riders can also revel in a choice of 3 colours, take your pick from electric blue, black & brushed aluminium. The height adjustable handlebar offers riders a simple way to suit their height comfortably.
An integrated rear rack is also included behind the seat, offering a convenient place to strap down your stuff for transport. Furthermore, the previously mentioned puncture-proof tires also offer a great increase in ride quality, brushing off otherwise devastating thorns and glass like nothing.
Another delightful design choice are the turning indicators, a welcome feature very rarely seen on electric bikes. These turning indicators become especially useful throughout roadside use and greatly improve visibility and safety; all of which we cover in our “safety & usability on the road” section.

Can it be used as a regular bike?
Yes – as no automatic locking system is mentioned upon running out of battery, we believe it likely you’ll need to lend a leg. Furthermore, we believe it likely that the HyperScorpion offers a variety of riding modes to choose from, one of which being manual. Again, we recommend contacting the official supplier to confirm this.

Build quality and ease of use
JuicedBikes have clearly spared no expense on the development of the HyperScorpion; offering a brilliant built eBike full of features and potent performance, thanks to that juicy 1000W motor. Enjoy a smooth ride on a variety of terrains, thanks to hydraulic lockout & a coil suspension front fork; dutifully soaking up harsh hits and bumps. Speaking of tricky terrains, the HyperScorpion handles a host of them, thanks to those fantastic fat tires.
These fat tires give greater grip and control both on & off-road, whilst also offering additional shock absorption. Give your wrist a rest on longer journeys with cruise control, easily activated through the LCD advanced matrix display. Riders will always have the perfect gear to choose from, thanks to 8-speed Shimano indexing. Perfect for maintaining control when tackling terrains and inclines.
Speaking of maintaining control, the HyperScorpion also features puncture-resistant tires, perfect for more demanding routes. Alongside this, these tires also allow riders to relax a little, with one less thing to worry about. In terms of ease of use, the walk-through frame offers a quick & effortless way to mount & dismount your eBike; perfect for elderly riders, those with mobility issues and the plain lazy.
Furthermore, the height adjustable handlebar allows riders to easily match their shape & size for a more bespoke ride. Riders can also make use of the optional tall seat for a few extra inches, or the passenger seat for some company. Switching gear to arguably one of our most important sections of our 2023 Juiced HyperScorpion review; safety & usability on the road. As we all know, the safety and visibility of riders at all times remains of paramount importance. Thankfully, this is where the HyperScorpion fares better than most, featuring integrated front & rear lights.
This moped-style eBike also features turning indicators, clearly letting other riders and traffic know your turning intentions. We believe this fun & functional feature perfectly suits the design style, alongside providing an excellent safety feature often overlooked by other manufacturers.
Of course, more traditional riders might insist that its the same as using your arm to indicate; however smarter riders will enjoy effortless and clear signalling at the push of a button, keeping both hands on the handlebars. Should the need arise, riders can also alert others to their presence, thanks to the integrated horn.
Another awesome design choice for this moped-style electric bike are the side mirrors. These mirrors allow riders to easily check their surroundings without turning around. We believe this simple feature especially helpful when turning corners, as a quick glance in the mirrors is all it takes.
In terms of performance, 180mm hydraulic disc brakes allow riders to make sharp and sudden stops in a split second; especially important when riding on roads with other traffic. The previously mentioned cruise control offers a great way to stick to the speed limit and rest your wrist on longer journeys.
All in all, we believe the Juiced HyperScorpion perfectly suitable for the road, offering a number of features that give it the edge over other models. However, we still recommend that riders wear adequate safety gear at all times, such as: gloves, helmet, high-visibility jacket.
