The QIEWA Q1Hummer is an especially impressive long range electric scooter, claiming to be one of the furthest ranging in the world. We’ve compiled a comprehensive review to see if the Q1 really is as special as it claims, read on and see for yourself:
Introducing the QIEWA Q1Hummer, an electric scooter so advanced and powerful we’re not even sure where to begin. However, let’s start with the pure performance offered by this eScooter that puts it leagues above the rest on the market. The sensational top speed of up to 37 mp/h (59.9 km/h) already lands it as one of the fastest electric scooters on the market; although the real treasure offered is it’s unbeatable 68 mile (109.5 km) range, making it one of, if not the longest ranged scooters on the market.
Furthermore, the QIEWA Q1Hummer page claims that this is in fact the world’s furthest drive distance eScooter; all powered by it’s impressively quiet 800W motor. If that’s not enough to attest to its superiority, the Q1Hummer also supports weights of up to 550 lbs (250 kg); one of the strongest, fastest and furthest ranged scooters available on the market. However, we have no confirmed evidence that this does in fact support 250 kg, outside of QIEWA’s claims.
One of the highest performing electric scooters on the market
Tackle all manner of terrain with ease, thanks to thick 10 inch pneumatic tires that aid in both grip and shock absorption. QIEWA also states that the Q1 uses road tires with special tread and drainage design, helping extend tire lifespan.
Furthermore, the double disc brakes also aid riders in stopping safely and sharply in a number of terrains. We’re currently convinced that this is one of the best, if not the best performing electric scooter on the market.
To further aid in supporting smooth riding, the Q1Hummer features dual shock absorbers to soak up harsh hits and bumps; keeping your safe and on track to your destination. Remote key is also included for unlocking/locking the scooter’s anti-theft lock system, helping keep your remarkable ride safe and secure.
However, this does not include locking of the wheels, moreover an audio-alarm will sound alongside restricting motor starting. We recommend purchasing your own lock and using it alongside this locking feature for maximum security.
For the serious scooter enthusiast
In fairness, the QIEWA Q1Hummer certainly isn’t suited for the casual commuter; moreover, we believe this performance e-scooter to best suit those serious about Personal Electric Vehicles, or those with longer than average commutes. Offering such a range, one would expect the Q1Hummer to also offer suitable protection from the elements, which of course it does; further featuring IP65 waterproofing making it suitable for a variety of conditions.
The rear headlights help riders stay seen and safe from behind, whilst the sidelights are essential for catching the eye of the hapless pedestrians you zoom past. Last on the list of lights, the front LED headlights help illuminate your path, alongside also keeping you visible to oncoming traffic.
Riders will enjoy staying sounding the alarm to any clueless pedestrians, thanks to the horn featured. With all these features and performance power considered, this eScooter comes with a fairly hefty price tag. All things considered, for one of the most high performing scooters on the market, this is a seemingly fair price. As previously mentioned, the Q1Hummer offers some of the best speed and distance performance currently on the market. QIEWA claim that the Q1Hummer offers the furthest range of any electric scooter currently available in the world. We’re not sure how true this is, however we haven’t yet seen any other eScooter so far that offers such performance. It’s 68 mile (109.5 km) range alone easily makes it one of the highest performing scooters we’ve reviewed so far. However, the Q1Hummer also offers an exceptional speed of 37 mp/h (59.9 km/h); easily making it one of the fastest electric scooters on the market. All of this propelled by an energy efficient yet extremely powerful single 800W motor. On a side note, riders will also enjoy added ease of use, thanks to the cruise control feature.
This model also claims to tackle up to 45 degree inclines, which is seriously impressive considering most e-scooters only offer up to 15 degrees. However, we’ve seen conflicting reports, with one listing claiming ‘only’ 35 degrees and others up to 45; although even 30 degrees is over double what most high end electric scooters offer. What age/weight is it suitable for?
No reports on suited age, however QIEWA claim that this scooter supports up to 550 lbs (250 kg), which is seriously impressive. If this is true, that would easily make it one of the strongest electric scooters we’ve reviewed to date.
What is the range/distance?
68 mile (109.5 km) – The range offered by the Q1Hummer is what really sets it apart from the rest of e-scooters on the market. QIEWA claim that this performance scooter offers the longest distance out of any scooter in the world. Whether or not this is true is another story, however we have never reviewed or even seen a scooter offering such distance before.

Such high performance must surely come at a cost, right? As expected, this cost comes in the form of an above average charge time of around 8-12 hours. Of course, if you have the time to wait or only need to use it sparingly, this long wait time won’t matter too much.
Moving on, we were unable to find any reports regarding battery life; however we found a product review that helps give us better insight the battery life expected from the average rider:
“My commute is around 9 miles round trip with a total of 400 foot grade uphill incline for the entire trip and battery is about 65% full at the end of the day. This makes sense because that is a lot of uphill incline.”

Of course, variables such as rider weight and total speed were not factored in, which of course will always affect performance. However, incline was factored in, which would inevitably result in increased battery usage. To simplify, we’ve calculated a simple estimate based on range divided by top speed.
With this calculation, we estimate average battery time at top speed on a flat, even surface to last approx. 1 hour 40 mins. Of course, variables such as rider weight, terrain, etc. will always have an impact on overall performance, including top speed and distance.

Battery protection & safety
There is no mention of UL rating, however we believe that the Q1Hummer adheres to a variety of strict fire and electrical safety regulations imposed on all modern e-scooters. Furthermore, this e-scooter also claims IP65 waterproof rating, making it officially ‘dust-tight’ and protected from bursts of pressurised water. As such, we have full confidence that this scooter is adequately protected from the elements, however we wouldn’t recommend submerging it or pushing it to the limit.

Aesthetically speaking, this e-scooter is one bolstered and beefy unit, looking like it could power through all manner of things. You can clearly see the superior suspension and brake discs at work, as well as its solid looking kick start. The handlebar length is fully adjustable to suit a number of sizes & the rubber handles offer comfortable and improved grip, with brake levers suitably placed in front.
It also looks like there is space for additional seating available for installation. USB functionality is also included, allowing riders to plug in and charge their phone on the go. Whilst not included, an additional seat is also available and also easily installed for added comfort when riding those long distances.
Overall anti-theft has the capacity for improvement, as the addition of GPS tracking would be nice. However, whilst a locking mechanism is included, it doesn’t feature locking of wheels; an audio alarm is triggered when touched, alongside stopping riders to start the motor.
We recommend locking up your e-scooter with a manual lock, alongside using this locking mechanism for maximum security. All in all, this is one solidly built tank of a e-scooter, yet still relatively lightweight, weighing only 27kg (59.5 lbs); alongside a design which allows riders to fold this e-scooter with ease.
What material is it made from?
Unspecified, however we presume the material used is extremely strong yet lightweight, due to the extremely high weight capacity and relatively low total weight. We believe the most likely material is an aluminium alloy, however this is unconfirmed and purely speculation.
Can it be used as a regular scooter?
Unconfirmed – there is no statement on whether or not the Q1Hummer automatically locks once the battery runs out, however we don’t believe this is the case. Should this eScooter remain unlocked when out of battery, we see no reason why you shouldn’t be able to manually operate it with ease.
Does it connect to your smartphone via app or Bluetooth?
No mobile control via app. However, USB charging functionality is included, enabling riders to plug in and charge their phone on the go.
Build quality and ease of use
Whilst the materials used in production are unspecified, the Q1Hummer looks like an absolute tank of a scooter. Dual suspension accompanies both the front and rear wheels, allowing for a shock-absorption and a smooth rider overall. The battery and internal electricals are suitably protected from the elements and claims a IP65 waterproof rating.
Also not yet mentioned is the marvelous mud flap, aiding in keeping mud, gravel and other material from kicking up and hitting you from behind. The kick stand is extremely solid, capable of easily supporting the weight of the scooter. The brake discs and tires are also of superior quality, aiding in riders stopping sharply and precisely.
Superior specs & of impressive quality
On the topic of tires, QIEWA claim that the Q1Hummer incorporates 10 inch pneumatic road tires from specialists in Taiwan; said manufacturers who boast over 30 years of expierence in tire manufacturing. This further aids in both grip and shock absorption, ensuring a smoother ride all round, alongside the ability to tackle a variety of terrains.
All of these fantastic features and still this scooter only weighs a reasonable 27 kg, further featuring extremely easy folding capabilities. All in all, this is an extremely high quality scooter and very easy to both set up/pack away, alongside actually riding. Adjustable handle frames cater to a variety of heights; alongside an extremely high weight capacity of 250 kg meaning that riders of all shapes and sizes will enjoy this ride.

In terms of safety, the Q1Hummer incorporates responsive dual brake discs to aid in sharp stopping; alongside this, this scooter also features some really high quality tires to aid in shock absorption and overall grip. This electric scooter also features LED rear, side and headlights to ensure you stay seen and safe from all angles, no matter the time of day.
Also, whilst not necessarily a requirement, we believe that the impressive top speed of 37 mp/h could result in increased safety, as you’re not going so slow that you become a liability.
Incredible performance & climbing capacity
In fact, this e-scooter actually exceeds the standard speed limit of most towns (30 mp/h); of course, this depends on your location and also local road laws. Alongside this, the QIEWA Q1Hummer offers an impressive climbing capacity of up to 45 degrees; however there are conflicting reports varying from 35-45 degrees. This incredible climbing capacity, combined with the superior grip offered from the tires and shock absorption from the dual suspension more than qualify this scooter as suitable for roadside use.
On the other hand, there have been reports that the front wheel locks up after soaking up a big hit if you attempt to slow down and shift forward, causing the rider to be pushed forward. However, this has been cited from a review of a gentleman who claims to be almost 300 lbs; as such, we cannot attest to the accuracy or consistency of this issue.
Furthermore, please note that heavier riders should expect reduced performance from this scooter; alongside this other variables such as terrain, incline, etc. also contributing to reduced performance. Overall, we believe this scooter to offer more performance that is more than roadworthy, although we suggest you also check your local laws and regulations to ensure you’re legally allowed to ride this on the road.
Is the QIEWA Q1Hummer waterproof?
Yes – the Q1Hummer claims a waterproof rating of IP65, making it officially dust-tight and protected from pressurised water blasts. As such, riders should expect to easily deal with the rain and other such elements. However, we wouldn’t suggest submerging it for any length of time. Read more about IP ratings here.

With offices in the US, the QIEWA Q1Hummer is certainly available in the US and likely the whole continent. However, we see no indication that this electric scooter is shipped outside of the US. We recommend checking the product listing for yourself and seeing if QIEWA ship to your location.
