Before beginning our 2023 Meepo V3 review, lets cover a few features and specs surrounding this exciting electric skateboard. For starters, this mid to high-spec model is priced incredibly competitively, packing features often reserved for $500+ models. This includes great additions such as regenerative braking, swappable batteries, cruise control and more; all of which we get into below. Due to its ludicrously low weight, great acceleration and range, we also believe this electric skateboard is a top pick for commuters and casual riders everywhere. So, lets begin the rest of our Meepo V3 review for 2023; starting with speed, power & distance.

How fast does it go?
Powered by two 540W hub motors for a max. output of 1080W, this brilliant board is propelled to speeds of up to 28 mp/h (45 km/h). Furthermore, riders will revel in reaching 0-19 mp/h in just 4.5 seconds; making this one of the fastest electric skateboards we’ve reviewed to date. There are also 4 speed modes to choose from, each offering varying levels of power & top speed; perfect for pros & beginners alike.
What age/weight is it suitable for?
Although there is no recommended age, we believe its clear that this board boasts power that only an adult can wield. As such, we believe board best suits those aged 18+. Despite weighing just 16 lbs, the Meepo V3 supports up to 300 lbs (136 kg); making it one of the strongest electric skateboards on the market.
What is the range/distance?
Riders should expect a max. range of approx. 11 miles on the standard model. However, Meepo also offer an “Extended Range” variant, allowing for rides of up to 20 miles with ER battery. Feel free to further utilise the swappable battery feature, effectively allowing you to extend your range indefinitely; just make sure you bring enough spares! However, please note that variables such as rider weight, incline, terrain, etc. will impact speed, range & overall performance
Can it be used offroad?
Not really – Whilst you should have no problems riding over short & dry grass, we don’t recommend attempting to tackle any trickier terrains. Judging from the wheels, its clear this model was designed for use on smooth, even surfaces.
Does it lose power uphill?
Hardly – We were especially surprised with this board when it came to tackling inclines, showing no signs of slowing for gradients of up to 30 degrees! This figure alone makes it one of the best electric skateboards for climbing hills that we’ve reviewed so far. Although much like speed/range, please note that variables such as rider weight, terrain, etc. will impact performance.

How long does it take to charge?
Charging from empty, the Meepo V3 boasts a rapid time of only 2 hours, with the ER version taking just 2.7 hours. Whilst we’ve seen a few other boards reach these charging speeds, it still makes the Meepo V3 one of the fastest charging electric skateboards that we’ve reviewed… It sure is setting a lot of records today!
How long will the battery last for?
Unknown – As the battery type is unspecified, we cannot accurately predict the average lifespan. Typically, modern models utilise Lithium-ion battery cells, offering much better performance and a greater lifespan. Meepo also offer a host of spares & repairs, including replacement batteries. This allows riders to source trusted and legitimate parts straight from the source.

Moving our 2023 Meepo V3 review onto design & ergonomics, a section of which this board most certainly exceeds. Starting off, this beautiful board utilises 7 layers of Canadian maple, contributing to that incredible 300 lbs max. payload. The deck also includes a hand hold for easy transportation when out and about, another plus for commuters. Alongside this, Meepo have clearly spared no expense, packing a number of mid to high-spec features within this deck.
For example, cruise control is a great addition, allowing riders to maintain a consistent speed, follow traffic laws or just take it easy. The previously mentioned swappable batteries are another awesome addition; allowing riders to replace dead batteries with fully charged spares, wherever you go.
Regenerative braking is yet another feature that compliments the functionality & efficiency of this board. This braking system effectively converts kinetic energy generated from braking into power, which is fed back into the battery. The M4 remote is comfortable to hold and easy to use, showcasing speed, ride mode, mileage and more. From this remote, riders can easily control and fine tune their ride to suit them.
Underneath the deck, riders can charge any electronics via the USB slot, great for if you ever find yourself stranded without any phone battery. It’s always refreshing to see such a modestly priced electric skateboard packed full of features, truly a joy to ride. Ergonomically speaking, the deck is wide & spacious, allowing ample room for manoeuvring.

What brakes does the Meepo V3 have?
Although unspecified, we believe the brakes are electronic. Meepo also state that braking has been greatly enhanced, gradually increasing as the rider moves through the throttle; aiding in maintaining balance and rider control.
Is it foldable?
No – As this is a full sized Canadian maple electric skateboard, riders will have a tough time folding their board without suffering from some splinters!
Does it connect to your smartphone?
No – Unfortunately, we were unable to find any mobile app or Bluetooth support for this model. However, due to the inclusion of the M4 remote, having mobile connectivity feels fairly obsolete.
Does it work as a regular skateboard?
Yes – Riders will have no issue starting up their manual motor and lending a leg, just like the good old days!
Build quality and ease of use
Bringing our 2023 Meepo V3 review onto build quality & ease of use. This is one category in which this board certainly exceeds, with Meepo even offering 6 months warranty on all purchases. Starting off, the 7 layer Canadian maple deck is incredibly strong yet lightweight, capable of supporting 300 lbs whilst weighing just 16 lbs; 18.75 times its own weight!
That figure alone easily makes this one of the top strongest electric skateboards we’ve ever seen. Alongside this, its also very durable, withstanding harsh hits and impacts with minimal damage. Meepo further state that the V3 is completely sealed with glue, making it water resistant and moisture/dust proof; however the official IP rating remains undisclosed.
Their team also claim the ESC enclosure the “brain” of the board, going to great lengths to keep that brain intact. As you can see from the video below, this enclosure is capable of withstanding some serious shocks. Speaking of shocks, this model also includes an improved, shock resistant battery; offering a greater lifespan and further increasing safety.
In terms of ease of use, this board is incredibly easy and comfortable to ride, with 4 ride modes to match your skill level. The deck is spacious and controlling the board via weight distribution is smooth & easy, with the remote aiding in controlling speeds, ride modes, etc. Truly a brilliant board & well worth the price.

How easy is it to carry?
Easy – Thanks to its light weight of just 16 lbs and integrated deck handle, you’ll face no issues carrying your ride wherever you go.
How smooth is the ride?
Provided riders stick to smooth & even surfaces as intended, they’ll enjoy a clean & relaxing ride. However, we still recommend keeping an eye out for potholes and other obstructions you may encounter.
Safety & Usability on the road
Safety and usability on the road
Switching to arguably the most important section of our 2023 Meepo V3 review; safety & usability on the road. Whilst suitable for riding on roads, we were unable to locate any additional safety features regarding external influences. For example, there is no lighting incorporated in this model, resulting in minimal visibility when riding at night; especially dangerous when riding near traffic or pedestrians. As such, we heavily recommend purchasing some aftermarket lighting to ensure you stay seen & safe.
However we don’t blame Meepo for this, considering its hard to incorporate relevant safety features to a board without compromising performance. Furthermore, we insist riders wear adequate safety gear when riding. This includes reflective clothing, knee/elbow padding, helmet, gloves, etc.
In terms of roadside usability, its clear the Meepo V3 was intended for pavement/roadside use; predominantly due to its advertising as a “city board” and its minimal off-road functionality. Is the Meepo V3 waterproof?
Although the official IP rating remains undisclosed, Meepo state that the ESC undergoes “complete sealing with glue – board is water resistant and moisture & dust proof”. Learn more about IP ratings here.
Does the Meepo V3 have lights?
No – Unfortunately, this model does not include integrated lighting. As such, we heavily recommend riders pick up some aftermarket lighting for their board. We also advise under-deck lighting, as it greatly increases your visibility to other traffic.
