Moving on to our overview section of our Onebot S6 review; the Onebot S6 really has taken us by surprise, boasting a number of premium features and design aspects for a very cost-effective price. A whole lot of love and care has definitely gone into the production of this model. The design is sleek, stylish and incredibly easy to mount, thanks to the low down, walk-through frame that we’ll discuss later.
The seat is fully height adjustable, allowing you to tailor your ride to your height and specifications. Furthermore, the materials used in production are of exceptional quality, with a highly durable yet lightweight magnesium alloy used for the frame. As a result, the Onebot S6 weighs a mere 18 kg, incredibly light for a folding eBike packed full of features. So, without further ado, let’s begin our Onebot S6 review by discussing the speed, power and distance offered.

For the price, the speed, power and distance offered by the Onebot S6 is more than ample. Offering a great range of 60 km (37.3 miles) and a 25 km/h (15.5 mp/h) top speed; the Onebot S6 makes an ideal commuting eBike, alongside remaining perfectly suited for casual & recreational use. This remarkable range is mostly thanks to the highly efficient 36V 5.2Ah Lithium-ion battery, which we discuss in our battery life & charging section. However, this beastly battery powers the silent, brushless 250W motors, propelling the Onebot S6 to up to 25 km/h from throttle alone.
Of course, riders can lend a leg and go even further and faster than what is offered in assist mode. Alongside all this, the Onebot S6 also tackles inclines of up to 15 degrees, making it a well rounded folding electric bike capable of climbing hills. All in all, the S6 folding eBike offers incredible performance for a cost-effective price; making for an ideal commuting solution, alongside perfect for casual and recreational use.

What age/weight is it suitable for?
Whilst there is no officially recommended age, we believe the Onebot S6 to most suit teens and adults aged 13+ and over 5″. Furthermore, the walk-through frame allows older riders and those with mobility issues to easily mount and dismount. The fully height adjustable seat allows riders to perfectly suit their dimensions, supporting riders in a variety of shapes and sizes. Alongside this, we also know that this fully folding eBike also supports weights up to 120 kg. Weighing just 18 kg itself, this means that the S6 supports a payload of up to 6 times its own weight!

Powered by a 36V 5.2Ah Lithium-ion battery, the Onebot S6 offers phenomenal performance and a number of convenient features for commuters and recreational riders alike. For starters, the fully removable battery means that riders can store and charge their battery on the move, wherever they go. Alongside this, the Onebot S6 offers an incredibly rapid charging time of just 3-4 hours; making it one of the fastest charging electric bikes we’ve reviewed.
This is an incredibly fast charge time for such a great range offered, with similar competitors taking in excess of 12+ hours to charge whilst offering less mileage. Whilst regenerative braking and a few other high-spec features weren’t included, the S6 offers a surprising amount of features for such a competitive price.
How long does it take to charge?
3-4 hours, making it one of the fastest charging electric bikes we’ve currently reviewed.

How long will the battery last for?
High quality Lithium-ion batteries have an expected lifespan of 500-1000+ charge cycles before any faults arise. As such, riders should expect the same amount of charge cycles before expecting any issues. Even if you were charging and using your Onebot S6 on a daily basis, this would still take 2-3+ years minimum to reach.

Moving on to the design and ergonomics section of our 2023 Onebot S6 review. As expected, the design of the S6 is both sleek and convenient; the fully folding frame means that the S6 quickly folds up for easy, compact storage and transportation. The low down, walk-through frame result in an incredibly easy eBike to mount and dismount, perfect for older riders or those with mobility issues.
Alongside this, the seat is fully height adjustable, catering to a variety of shapes and sizes. This folding eBike has clearly been designed with commuting convenience in mind, with a fully removable battery allowing riders to charge remotely, wherever they go. The frame is fashioned from a one-piece magnesium alloy, offering great durability yet retaining an incredibly light weight of just 18 kg.
What’s more, the S6 supports a max. weight of 120 kg, approx. 6.6 times its own weight, further attesting to the strength and quality of this magnificent model. On the topic of strength and quality, the Onebot S6 most certainly delivers. Rear spring shock absorption soaks up harsh and hard hits to ensure a smooth ride, with non-slip wear-resistant tires offering enhanced grip and control on tricky terrains.
Remarkably responsive front & rear double action disc brakes results in enhanced control and safety during sharp, sudden stops. The LCD display is conveniently situated on the handlebar, making it easy for riders to check their battery life, speed and more. The S6 also comes available in 3 different colours, choose from black, yellow and white and suit your style. As it stands, this sleek folding eBike may very well become the ideal choice for commuters and casual riders alike.

Whilst we were unable to locate any iOS or Android app listings, we found a page on Onebot’s own website titled “app”. However, there is no download link or any evidence that it’s available to the public; as such, we believe that the Onebot app is currently in development and may release soon. Build quality and ease of use
As previously mentioned, the build quality of the Onebot S6 is exceptional; with the high quality, high durability magnesium alloy frame attesting to this. Furthermore, this sleek, seamless frame both protects internal electricals whilst simultaneously looking incredible. To attest to the strength and build quality of this bike, the S6 weighs just 18 kg, whilst supporting weights of up to 120 kg (6 times its own weight)!
They clearly spared no expense on the 36V 5.2Ah Lithium-ion battery; offering a great 60 km range, whilst charging in just 3-4 hours. The front & rear double action disc brakes are incredibly responsive, allowing riders to make sharp, sudden stops without compromising control. Rear spring shock absorption/suspension eats up harsh hits and helps maintain a smooth and balanced ride. It’s no doubt that the build quality of this folding eBike makes it a top contender, especially for such a cost-effective price.
Moving on to ease of use, of which the S6 certainly offers. As previously mentioned, the low down, walk-through frame is an excellent addition; aiding older riders and those with mobility issues and allowing them to easily mount and dismount their ride. Furthermore, the seat is fully height adjustable, perfectly suiting a variety of shapes and sizes. The fully folding frame means that transporting and storing this eBike is easy and compact.
This feature alone is a huge plus for commuters, as they can easily bring their ride into the office or onto the train home. The LCD is conveniently situated on the handlebars, allowing riders to quickly and easily check their battery life, speed, mileage and more. Put simply, the Onebot S6 offers a quality performance and built to rely on, all at a crazily cost-effective price.
Safety & Usability on the road

Moving on to the safety and roadside use section of our Onebot S6 2023 review, and arguably one of the most important. As we all know, rider safety is paramount during roadside or night time use. As such, the Onebot S6 accommodates for this with a super bright LED headlight and rear brake light, helping riders both see and stay seen during darker days. The super responsive front & rear double action disc brakes allow riders to maintain precision and control during sharp, sudden stops.
This is especially important for roadside use, as you never know when you’ll need to stop on a dime. However, whilst the range offered is certainly ample, the top speed is relatively slow for on-road use and will struggle to reach the speed limit. Although, you can still comfortably use it on the pavement, bike lane or roadside. Furthermore, we insist that riders wear adequate safety gear when riding on the road or at night, such as a high-visibility jacket and helmet.
Is the Onebot S6 waterproof?
Whilst the S6 is not 100% waterproof, it does offer an IPX4 waterproof rating. This means that your ride is protected from dust ingress and splashes of water in any direction. However, this does not mean that the S6 is entirely waterproof, and don’t recommend submerging your sweet new ride at any time. Learn more about IP ratings here.

As far as we’re aware, the Onebot S6 ships worldwide and to all continents, with obvious exceptions for certain countries. However, we recommend that you contact the supplier and check for yourself. Furthermore, we also advise that you double check your local laws to ensure your region legally allows electric bikes and other forms of travel.
